Editing address book in Outlook Express

Does anyone know why in Outlook Express when you enter a person's address it doesn't show up on the BB? That seems to be the only field that doesn't transfer. The city, state and zip transfer but NOT the box with the address. Any help? Thanks!

Have you checked the Mapping in the Advanced Option on the Sync Settings. You may need to change the mapping. I don't have Outlook Express so I can't check on it myself or I would.

    Hope this helps

Don't know about Outlook Express but in Microsoft Outlook 2003 everything transfers just fine but I guess that probably doesn't help you

You need outlook not express. Had to do with the business manager and other application that they have on outlook.

You know you can get MS office for $100 at bestbuy if you get the student teacher version. it's all the same as the normal version, all you have to do is just TELL them your in school or have someone at home in school.

Better yet I just remembered that I have the beta version of MS Office 7 that I bought for $1.50 - yes you read it right $1.50. Completely different interface from the previous version of Word and a few other programs but once you get the hang of it, it works very well. So anyways, I do have Outlook and it seems to work fine there.

You gotta go into the interner mail client and delete your work account.

Someone that's more of a techie can post a walk thru for this.

Thumbs up Re: Editing address book in Outlook Express

I know that this is an old topic, but I figure out how to sync the address field in outlook express. In the desktop manager click synchronize then click on the Tab labled Configuration. Choose address book, then click configure at the bottom of the of the tab. Click the tab labeled Filters, this will allow you to change the filters on the address book for Outlook Express. At the bottom click Field Mappings if you scroll down you should notice that are no arrows pointing to address for home or work. If you click between a double bold arrow will pop up. This should allow you to sync your bb with outlook after you save all changes.
