Pull the battery, put it in a nice warm place, and let it dry for a few days. If you just dropped it in, get the battery out ASAP before it shorts out.

Just remove the battery and leave the battery door off -- anything else may furhter damage your unit. Some report that placing the BB on a bowl of uncooked rice helps -- I suppose it cant hurt.

PLace the phone in a nice, dry, warm spot - perhaps in the sun - and DO NOT reinsert the battery for a few DAYS - certainly not so long as there is any hint of moisture under or around the screen.

    Good luck!

Like they said its gotta be off for a while. Without the rice, I recommend 2 days with not battery. With the rice maybe 1 day. The rice will help absorb the water. You're going to be without it for a while until it dries, do not try it until then.

What type of water was it? Dirty, Clean Rain, Salty water? This makes a difference in how you handle it. How deep was it? How long was it in the water? Once you dry it out good, Corrosion is going to be you main worry, if it works now. I have discussed this with people that have dropped theirs in muddy and slightly salty water, and after rinsing the insides with distilled water and drying it completly, were still using theirs a year later. (This was before the quick release cycles started).

    Good Luck

NO! Sorry but don't put it in distilled or any kind of water. This is not true at all.

Do as the above posts say and don't put the battery in and have hope that all will be well.
If you risk putting the battery back in and using it, that is when you may risk ruining it by
using it too soon before it has had a chance to properly dry out all components.
