    Question Download Attachment Size Limitation

I recently encountered an error while trying to download an attachment from an email I received , the problem is that the attachment is 3.3MB and the max size an attachment can be for downloading to the BB is I believe 2.9MB, Is there a way to circumvent this limitation? I know its there for a reason, but I have plenty of space on my media card and I wasnt planning on leaving the file on the phone.

There is also an app that works with POP mail accounts, I use it with my gmail account, it's called MediaPOP. It allows downloads up to almost 6mb. Works with audio, video, and more.

There's a free trial so you can check it out. It does require some knowledge of pop server addresses and port numbers to set it up, if you use gmail, I can help with that.

You can get it at the PinStack store here

If it's something you will need regularly it's worth it. If not you're better off doing it as manx driver suggested. I just wanted to let you know there is another option out there

The secret to getting around the “Entity Too Large” message is to paste or type the download URL directly into the browser. If you click the links on a webpage in the browser to download a file over 5MB it will say entity too large. Take that same URL and paste it into your browser address bar and it will ask you to open or save. Select save and choose folder on sd card and download begins.

Try this and see if it helps

Well its not an issue with the browser, its an issue with the email attachments, and it doesnt give you a url to paste anywhere so I wouldn't be able to do that. I'm reading the descriptioon of the MediaPOP program and it sounds like a 3rd party way of doing exactly what I was looking for, Thnax Azstar.

The way I see it, you were trying to help, nothing to be sorry for, I appreciated it.
