    Does anyone else get this?

I recently noticed that when answering a call, it takes two or so seconds after the call timer starts until the person on the other end of the call can hear what I'm saying. It's extremely annoying, is there any fix to this solution?

I think you're stuck with it unfortunately. I've hade 4 BB Pearls......... all had the same issue. I've just got used to it - so have my callers. It seems to be sporadic though ? Good luck, welcome to Pinstack.

Re: Does anyone else get this?

I hardly ever use the pearl so I am not sure about this, but I think I have seen things mentioned on it before.

If I am not mistaken, there is an updated OS that is supposed to rectify this?

I will check and see if I can't find which OS it was.

So you can upgrade to that, or just wait 2 seconds whenever you answer a call to say hello, which ya probably don't want to do...

BTW, are you cingular or tmo?

I have the same problem on another phone I have, non BB. I wait a few seconds like N8 suggested.

Supposedly, this OS is supposed to fix the call lag problem, but look over what it DOESN'T fix and what it changes to see if you want to take the risk of installing this one...

I have a Cingular 8700 and on very rare occasions i see this. usually if i wait a few seconds it will fix it's self. In rare occasions I have had to tell the person i would call them back. This happened more with my old verizon phone
    not very often with Cingular

I've already updated my OS, but I'm not sure which version I updated to.

    How can I find out?

    Oh, and I have T-Mobile.

    Classic,

It would really help us help you if you updated your PinStack Profile. To find the OS loaded go to Options/About or from the home screen press and hold the ALT key while typing RACE.

    Hope this helps

It's definately the OS. If you're using tmobile what came with it is probably the 4.2.0.42 OS. You could update it .64, but I've found that update to be extremely buggy as well. I've switched to Telefonica .67 and the call lag issue went away and everything is great!

It's seems like the only thing that solves this problem is to have a headset plugged in or a BT headset. I had this problem before too but now that Im using a headset or a BT headset most of the time, I'm doing just fine.

I had that problem on the original stock OS. I upgraded to the new one from RIM and it seems to be fixed. FYI.

Yup, I'm currently on v4.2.0.64. I'll upgrade to .67 now.
