There is no problem. You can't do streaming video on a Pearl. You have to download the video to your PC, convert it to a format the Pearl can play, and load the video to your phone.

You'll have to get the video from somewhere other than Youtube. Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you.

I don't remember it off the top of my head, but there is a website that you can convert a youtube video for your BB. Try a search for "Streaming video" or "Video converter" I think.

See if this thread is what you're looking for.

    DONT DO IT.

reason: you'll get charged by the kb [iirc] and that can total in the THOUSANDS of dollars if you dont have a data plan.

I use this program called vTap available for free @ getjar.com.It lets me search video sites like youtube, find a video, download it either in low, med, or hi resolution and then download it to my phone for continuous viewing (:Only downside is that its extremely slow and sometimes the quality isn't so good. But it gets the job done!

At least four popular apps will do that, some of them standalones.

It used to be the VideoDownloader extension to Firefox was the way to go. Then Google changed things around and broke it . I haven't kept track whether J. has fixed it (I have a source code patch)... but the point is moot because the DownloadHelper extension (to Firefox again) works wonderfully well; Ι recommend it!
