different inbox (icon) for SMS and MMS

Right now all messages (SMS, MMS and my corporate email) are showing in one inbox. I know I can switch between folders to filter my view of messages, but is it possible to have my corporate email as the default view or can I have my SMS and MMS messages go into a different in box?

Use a Zen theme and it should do what you are wanting it to...

I am using T-Mo Zen theme. When I activated, I remember a message prompting me to use the inbox for SMS and MMS messages, but I do not know how to change that option.

RC: the Pearl's Zen theme does not separate SMS/MMS, like it does for other 4.1 devices.

B Fournier: the short answer is: NO. What you are requesting is not currently possible with the BlackBerry OS.

Perhaps you may find a 3rd party app to do this.

I have no desire for anything but a unified Messages list. It would be annoying and futile to have 10 different icons to check email SMS MMS or phone calls.

Re: different email for SMS and MMS

I don't know about the pearl, as Lewis so correctly pointed out (Thanks for the Info), but the 8700 and 7290 devices have preset filters for SMS and MMS when in the Message List. ALT+S will show only the SMS messages, and ALT+M will show MMS. Unless you have changed your Defaults

To see what default short cuts are available, and any custom filters you have created. Open the Messages Menu, Select Search, Open the Menu again and select Recall.

    Hope this helps

Did I type "RC" when I should have typed "N8"?

    Must have been SureType!

And what's worse, I didn't even recognize that it shouldn't have been directed at me. I don't know about the Pearl's Zen theme. And not much about the 8700 Zen theme.

Guess I needed to pay attention to the type of phone when read the question. My bad.

Zen won't do it, however if you have vendor themes unlocked (there is a thread on how to do so, but I am mobile right now) the VodaPhone and the Orange themes have a seperate folder for MMS/Text Messages on them. Unfortunately, IMO, those are also the two most god awful vendor themes.

On the Orange theme, if you don't see a folder, make sure that you don't have it hidden.

On the VodaPhone theme, by default it should be listed on the main screen when you switch to that theme. It will be labeled Text/Media Messages.

Sorry for not completely reading the phone type the first time.

Okay. And looking again (don't know how I missed it the first time) but O2 Today theme also has an SMS/MMS folder.
