    alexslane,

What have you tried already to get it? Have you tried the procedure listed in this Thread, How to Unlock all Hidden and vendor themes?

hey there yeah i have had a go at that it seems to be different for the pearl though. the steps he mention dont seem to be there , e.g

Step 1) Find your current OS software file located here in most cases...
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\"deviceOSversion" exp. C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8700-v4.1.0.286_P2.0.0.123

Step 2) Right click on the "Blackberry.alx" and select "Open with" and select notepad or wordpad.

Step 3) Once opened look for the following in the text below. For help I made the text in red.

    i cant work it out
i know things are diffrent because it a diffrent phone
but surely there has to be a way to unlock it

If u have the OS on ur computer, it is the exact steps for every OS to date to unlock the vendor themes.

the steps are the same for all BlackBerry devices, including the Pearl. The only difference is the directory you find the blackberry.alx file.

Instead of this subfolder 8700-v4.1.0.286_P2.0.0.123, look for one the looks like 8100-4.2.0.xxx_P2.x.x.xxx

    Hope this helps.

I'm not sure how to do it on a pearl, but on the 8700, you can press ALT+CAP+H and get a status screen The Vendor ID is shown on that page.

On the pearl you can do two things, hold alt then press r, a, c, then e, and that should bring up the same menu as alt, cap and h. Or you can download an application called device info, found in the pinstack downloads section, and that will show you tons of information about your BB that you may or may not ever need.
