    Desktop Manager's App Loader

Hey guys! I did a search but didn't really find anything that addresses my problem. I'm receiving the following message when I try to use the desktop manager's app loader.

'BlackBerry Desktop Software does not have BlackBerry Device Software for the device that you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator.'

Syncing, media manager, etc works fine...it's just the app loader. I'd really like to figure out what's wrong because I don't have a data plan right now and there are a few apps I'd like to get on my Cingular Pearl. Thanks!

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your desktop software? Dont know if that will help, but there's a chance. Ihonestly dont know why it'd show you that error message. It can also be that you are trying installing softwares that are not with a supported format.

I hope someone here will be able to help u

the same thing happens with my 8703e. i thought it just wouldn't load themes, but i can't get it to install anything. they installed just fine with my 7250. OTA installation works just fine.

Awesome, I and a friend of mine have the exact same situation. I actually thought that it was supposed to say that. Glad to hear there's a solution. I'll give it a go when I get home.

I do have a question though...Why do we need to do this? Did they not include everything with the phone when purchased. Why isn't everyone having this problem?

The people that dont have this problem most likely have the OS(Handheld Software) for their deviced installed on their computer.

OK, thanks! I was just curious, because I followed the instructions that came with the Pearl to the "T". And I know I didn't miss anything. So I couldn't understand why not many others were having the application loader problem.

    Re: Desktop Manager's App Loader

    i have similar problems
i updated my pearl os to the new highest os that they had here in the forums and i noticed when i hit the menu key from the start screen it showed a whole lot of icons i wanted it to show a drop down list like b4 and i also had a ptt icon and such and b4 i had an email icon and a msgr icon and now i didnt so i wiped the pearl clean using cmd-loader or whatever its called

and now i downloaded the tmobile rom from thier site and the app loader refuses to load the os it keeps saying

the apllication ''inputmethodcorefulllibrary'' could not be loaded, because it requires the following applications that are not avalible

    net.rim.platform.inputmethodcoreminimal

what the heck does that mean ?????????????????????????????????
pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee i dont have a working phone now ...... i just want my phone to be back to the org 8100-v4.2.0.64_P2.2.0.37 from tmobile its os was 4.2.1 i think or 4.2.2 b4 i wiped it but i had this tmobile rom on it b4 i upgraded it and decided i wanted to downgrade......

    Color...

    Ouch!
I would begin by making sure you have the latest Desktop Manager software installed (UNINSTALL THE OLD VERSION), and then download the TMO OS again and try one more time....I will look for other threads that might help if this does not work....
