What's the point of having that enabled I never understood that. I mean as long as there's a check mark my message went through. Does the confirmation Let me know that the person opened the message?

    Re: delivery confirmation

It lets you know that the message was delivered to the recipient's phone.

(for example, if the recipient was out of the coverage area, or had their phone turned off, you shouldn't receive a delivery confirmation until they get coverage again)

The check means it was sent not delivered I believe. There should be a little D on the upper left of the check mark meaning it was delivered. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    Re: delivery confirmation

It depends on the theme, while most themes display a D when delivered, there are a few themes that display a checkmark on top of another checkmark when delivered
