The easiest way I know how to delete all of the messages at one time is to; Start at the top of your messages that you would like to delete, and then hold down the # key. Use the trackball and scroll down to last one, then press the trackball and the menu appears; select delete messages....
    There you have it.....

In order to send mass texts to 10 people or more is to set up group list....
In order to do so you have to start a list; you go to your address book and click the trackball and the menu appears. Select start a New Group, then you just have to add all the people to that list and name it. So, when you go to send a group text; go to your text message and type a text, then click on that group list that you have made and watch it send........

On my 8700, F4everag's suggestion won't work. Can't select the group nor use them for the recipient. But All is not lost. Here is what I do.

    1. Open Message App
    2. Open the Menu and Select Compost SMS
    3. Find and Add first contact
    4. Open the Menu and Select Add Recipient
    5. Find and Add the next Contact.
    6. Repeat 4 and 5 until all contacts Added
    7. Type the Text to be sent
    8. Open the Menu and Select Send

    Message sent.

    Hope this helps

    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Shortcuts and my knowledge of SureType vs Qwerty = ZERO!

Sorry RC, I thought that pressing S did an SMS filter.

    What I said earlier: redacted!

However, Groups in Address Book in 4.2 OS actually DOES work for SMS!!

I had tried the same thing in 4.1 OS on my 7130g. That was a no go.

But I tried an experiment with the Pearl, and it does work.

    Super slick and easy!

Thanks for that information, Lewis. That's one more added feature for 4.2.x.xxx

Don't use SMS, but for those that do, it will be an advantage. What's that being called in the news nowadays? About the SMS initiated riot on the beach.

    F4,
No need to apologize, you're probably right, since it's in the 8100 Forum, but I wasn't aware that RIM had added this new feature.

Don't do anything. Just hope that you have the "memory leak" bug on your phone, and it will wipe out all your SMS texts, call log, etc. whether you want it to or not! ;^)

Re: Deleting Messeges (SMS) in bulk...how to ?

The Alt-S does not work on my Blackberry for seeing only SMS messages. Any one else have this problem.
VERY trustrating because I do need to strip out my corporate emails from SMS.

I am using version 4.2.0.64 of the software. All/any guidance appreciated.

Re: Deleting Messeges (SMS) in bulk...how to ?

What device do you have? For an 8100, go to Messages>Menu>Search>Recall. Do you have an entry there that says 'SMS Messages (a)'? If you don't, you can customize a search and then save it with your own shortcut by going only to Messages>Menu>Search.

The shortcut is really Alt-A, and I believe this carries over for non Suretype BB's.
