    Deep Sigh..Oh NO!

And with abump I heard the snap come loose and the BBP went a flying..I thought oh no!!!!! But to my astonished look, it took a licking and kept on ticking. Probably would not have if it was not for the metal case I had it in. My first drop and everything seems to be working okay. Huge Sigh!!

    Re: Deep Sigh..Oh NO!

Guess my first post should be my worst BB experience...

I had a similar heart-stopper just 2 weeks after getting my 8700g... on the family trip to Disneyland my beloved new BB fell out of its clip in my pocket and went on the next ride around the Matterhorn rattling around in the car without me... imagine my shock and fear as I went running back from Adventureland to find the ride attendant trying to find some kind of personal information to return it to me. The BB was fine, I was only momentarily out of breath and it has survived the hazards of being my first blackberry for nearly a year now. I do wonder at what I'll get next. Will the 88xx series be as sturdy? I've seen this one explode into pieces and drop repeatedly and am always happy to have it still work (a touchscreen would have never survived me at all).

I drop my BB's all the time. That's what makes them durable. I keep them in cases with a wrist strap attached.

I keep mine in my front pocket where its safe and sound. I've heard too many horror stories.

Side note: good job throwing the 3flip, and usually I'd tell ya to just keep the pearl in your pants pocket like I do when I skate but then I remember the current fashion trend with some skaters. There wouldn't be any room with the way they rock their jeans nowadays. Geneeunit probably knows what I'm talking about.
