He copied the link from his earlier post which actually only copied the visible portion of the link.

There is the completed link pulled from his earlier post.

Edit-> Mel, after going back and reading the post you referenced, I don't see where the problem got resolved or how. Could you let us know what solved the issue?

Yikes! Sorry everyone. Wrong link. We followed the instructions in the first post of the following link:

    Hope that clears it up.

Hi everyone, this is my first post and Im new here in the forum and this is my first time having a BB device. And I would say this forum helped me a lot even without asking or posting. Searching and reading did the job. Props to all helpful members!

Anyways, as for the OP (original poster), just want to chip in,.. I had this same problem for several days, I kept changing my time manually because it messes up my appointments. Yesterday I just change the Date/Time Source to "NETWORK" and viola, all my appointments went back to original time (same as in my outlook), plus DST is now accurate (synced with current DST). Hope this helped.

Thanks Vash. Actually I tried setting it to network but unfortunately my problems seem to run more deepseated than that. If you read through you will see that I ultimately found a protocol that worked and hopefully I am now good to for all future daylight savings time events. Thanks for your post though.

MelC - I'm having the same problems with my Pearl. I tool a look at this post and cannot find the resolution? Can you let me know what fixed the problem (was it changing the time zone on the BB to Central Time) - I'm in Eastern.

I did that and the time changed back to 1 hr behind even though the Source is set to OFF. I cannot figure this thing out. I even manually changed the time and this morning it still wend 1 hour behind.

    Tassenza,

I beleive Mels fix related to a BES server environment. What operating system version is on your 8100? (Options-About v4.xx.x.x.x)

Not sure if our problems are the same but my problem seemed to relate to having both the DST Patch and the new OS system (the one that you are running) on the BB at the same time. Unfortunately getting rid of the DST patch isn't simple and required disconnecting from the BES and then eradicating the patch from BB and backup to be reloaded otherwise it kept creeping in and messing everything up. If you look at the first post on the following thread you can see what I did and it fixed the problem perfectly, time is set for EST and is compensating for DST without manual intervention by me. All my calendar entries which were off by an hour corrected themselves too.

It tuns out one of my colleagues had the exact same problem because he loaded a backup from his old Pearl which had been running on the old operating system with the patch onto his new Pearl which had the new operating system.

    Good luck. Mel
