This may in fact work if you install Linux on your PS3. If you can then install the drivers for the blackberry and use your PS3 linux to browse to Pearl's memory card. This is just guessing though.

yes you can, i dont know what you are trying to do. but if you want the ps3 to recognize it as an external drive, then you have to make a folder in your sd card named "PS3". Then put all of your music/pic/video files in that folder.

connect the phone to the ps3, then turn on storage mode, and go into the video section of the Ps3 home screen, i think press triangle to view all files. then you should see all of your videos, same with the music or pic sections. hope that helps.

Re: Connect bb pearl to PS3????

Im going to try this when I get home later. I forgot you had to have the folders labelled for pics, vids, etc. My thing is I don't have my broadband up and running right now, I have the 40gb ps3 so I think it doesn't have the sd slots (I could be wrong on that). I have the 2.0 firmware update, I can't get new themes to come over on a CD. So im hoping I use the BB as a work around. I'll post back after trying tonite

Side note: I think all folders need to be labelled in all caps for example PS3, then pics have to be in a new folder labelled PICTURE and vids need to be in VIDEO etc...more info later I guess

Why do they have to be in all caps?

Re: Connect bb pearl to PS3????

It works whoo hoo. New themes on my ps3. To UKfan, not sure why Sony did it this way. If you're bringing and media over to the ps3 via CD you burned or flash drive (or blackberry in this case) you have to have a folder named PS3 in the root folder of the CD or flash drive. Then you have the sub folders (PICTURE, VIDEO, UPDATE, THEME, etc....). Not sure why it has to be all caps. Just what I found online and stick to it. It may be the only way the ps3 recognizes the subfolders and so forth. Like right now, I just installed my new themes, but the ps3 can't see the pics on my microSD card. (unless I make new folders in the PS3 folder and put pics there in their own subfolder
