    Question cleaning the trackball?

does anybody know how to clean your trackball? cuz mine is really dirty and normally it would shine its normal white color, but its like a dirty yellow color. i was just wonderin if there was like a step by step guide to pulling it out and cleaning it up cuz i can tell the difference in how well it works now compared to when it was clean, and now it sucks. so if anyone can help me out with that, i would appreciate it.

I can get you a link to a guide when I can get to my PC. Just to warn you though it will never be white again. The only reason I would take it out and clean it would be because it wouldn't scroll in a particular direction. You can take out the whole asembly and soak it in hot water and dish soap, but it won't get it any whiter.

Ill post a link to a guide when I have a chance.

Im not even gonna bother cleaning mine. Even though it is pretty clean, still white. If it gets too bad Ill just buy another trackball assembly.

i'd rather use a q-tip and alcohol then wait it out and have to pay $60 for a new trackball assembly. that's just me though.

Thing is whenever I wash it the Pearls trackball doesnt feel the same. This is from experience with my old Pearl. Havent cleaned my new Pearls trackball. Its actually really clean still, hopefully it stays that way.

I wouldn't use compressed air, it pushes dirt inside screen

Canned air works fine and doesn't push dirt into your screen.
