Clean Under Outer Lens on the 8100

I bought a red 8100 the other day, and there are what looks like small smudges on the LCD under the outer clear plastic screen. Would it be a major undertaking to clean the actual LCD, I know I would have to seperate the two lenses and re-glue them back together, and Ive heard that this is a difficult task on an 8100. Anyone done this?

I know you have to take it apart and there is adhesive that holds the two screens (outer and LCD) together, Im wondering is it woth the hassle and chance of not getting them back together properly or damaging one of them trying to seperate them. May just have to live with it.

I bought this 8100 used for $78. Put a new battery in it, new battery door, downloaded the latest OS on it, some neat themes and apps. and now I have a MINT cond. red AT&T Pearl for $100. I keep my 8310 in a holster. The 8100 has a leather BB slip in sheath. Its not dust, its small smudges, I have no idea how they got there, they were on it when I received it.

Well the two screen's are held together by the case , you need three things .

What looks like a duster . I have a few that I got when I worked at rim .
I can pin you the image of what it looks like .

Second - you will need a special lint cloth . Even one that comes with the new iphone.

And the screw driver that matches the screws on the back.

The only problem your going to face is the side clips . Those will get damaged more or less if your not experianced at what your doing , and will have to get the parts from rim .

If you get this down like a charm your good . Or if you want to take it to a blackberry repair shop , by all means .

    Hope this helps
