Cingular Media Net/ BB Internet Browser

Ok, I'm a little confused. I have two separate icons. I have Cingular. One says 'media net' and the other 'browser'. When I roll the trackball over the 'browser' the cingular icon appears over it and it looks the same as 'media net'. Main thing is when i click on 'browser' it also takes me to media net. Is this normal?

    Yes this is normal.

Media net is the basic internet service for cingular. It has alot of Cingular related info for you.

Browser is like using your home computer to view the web.

The Browser has an unfiltered to the Internet.

The Media.net brwoser is routed through Cingular's network (hence all the Cingular crapola).

If you had a BES (Enterprise), You'd have BlackBerry Browser (actually surprised you don't have it!) which would route through your Company's Intranet.

If I go to www.yahoo.com on my Cingular brwoser, I get a completely different page (with links to MediaNet) than if I use my Internet Browser (no MediaNet links).

Go to Options/Advanced Option/Browser and make sure Default Browser Configuration is set to Internet.

    Hope this helps
