the only thing you can do is use a 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter and go into an aux input. bluetooth does not support music in the pearl.

If you do go the 2.5 to 3.5mm adapter route prepare to be dissapointed. Everyone that has tried it said that it stinks. I guess you can't really hear the music since the output of you pearl isn't strong enough.

that is because the pearl output is a preamp level, using an aux in will ramp up the output to normal levels

I'd have to agree as I plugged mine in through my aux in and the output level was normal.

You could probably go through one of those FM transmiters they make for MP3 players.

I tried this route and the sound is horrible. I guess I was hoping to get any feedback on a specific unit that someone may have tried that pipes the MP3s through teh car amp / speakers vw. relying on the Pearl to produce the sound.

I use mine with a 2.5 to 3.5 connector to the AUX. Input of my head unit.It sounds pretty good. Now I wish that it had an EQ and it would play the music continiuosly, I would be a happy camper.is there a solution to that?

Well, I my head unit has a USB connection cord, so I plug my pearl into the head unit through that using the pearl as a mass storage device. The sound quality is perfect, but that would require you to get a new head unit most likely. They cost around 100 dollars I think for one with a USB connection.

I'd love USB support, but getting a new headunit is out of the question. I like my NAV on my suby.

You can get an adapter from Seido in the BB Shop for $10 bucks. After buying mine, i then went to my local Wal mart and bought a Belkin transmittor for $28...Mine works great. I have no problem with my sound quality at all. I play all my music on my radio in my car.
