capturing phone numbers
Hi there
Can anyone help me please. I have used an old style Blackberry for a long time but always had a separate mobile phone.
Now we have Pearls my company want us to use the Pearl for everything.
My question is this.
With most mobile phones, you can type in a phone number when you are in the middle of a conversation and it will still be there after you hang up. You can then call the number...or store it...or whatever.
This does not seem to happen with the Pearl and, basically, the number I have typed in disappears when I hang up the call.
Can anyone give me a good way of capturing a number whilst on a call please?
Thanks
Ian

Re: capturing phone numbers
Let me go off of memory here...
While in the call, press the menu button...
Scroll to notes...
Type the number in notes.
When you end the call, go to call log, click on the call, and it should show the notes?
Thats just off of memory and I hardly ever do it, so I may be off a step or two..
Or...
You can always click the trackwheel and exit to your homescreen, then go and use your memo pad while you are on the phone and save it there.
Just remember to use the trackwheel and/or backbutton when exiting programs when on the phone and not the end button (which I have done on accident many of times and will hang up on the caller).

Re: capturing phone numbers
If you go by N8's way when you type the notes and the call you have to go to call log then click menu>full menu>view history>and then click on the call that has a little notepad icon next to it. When you do this I think it pops up then menu and you can go to edit notes to see the notes that you wrote before.
Hope this helps,

Re: capturing phone numbers
I just push the green make a phone call button and it lists the last calls made, and go to menu from there and save the number.
