Battery out wait 30 seconds reinsert.

On a seperate note, filling in your profile information device model, OS version, carrier etc... can help you get better and more responses to your question

    Thank you.

I have had this problem before and noticed that the BB had changed from SURETYPE to MULTITAP.
Open up a new e mail - press the options button (dots to the left of the pearl) and see if ENABLE SURETYPE is in the drop down list - if so click and this should get rid of the ABC.

    Those aren't just "dots"!

That's the stylised RIM BlackBerry® icon!!

Much easier for a simple man like me to type "dots" as opposed to "the stylised RIM BlackBerry® icon"!!

    nightwolf956, Welcome to PinStack.

Could it be that you have pressed the CAP or NUM button by mistake and to get it to go away press it again? Any time you press the CAP or NUM key that indicator will come up and stay until you press it again or press another key.

Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.

Try going to memopad and opening an new memo. Is the CAP Icon still there? If so, start typing to see if all the letters are written in CAPs. If so and pressing the Cap key doesn't remove it, then I would say you have a hardware problem. You might try reloading the OS to see if that helps.

Let us know how this goes.

Ive had this problem a few days ago and I got it to go away but I forgot exactly what I did. Try and hold the bottom right key and then press the bottom left key that changes from caps to num and see if that takes it away.

For the record it happened right after i deleted an app. dopewars to be exact.thanks for all the suggestions guys, it's really annoying when it shows up. batt pull no help only fix was the new e-mail deal.
