Question Cannot listen to Audio Attachments

Ok... here is the situation... Someone sends me a text with audio. I go to open it, and it is only a white screen with a volume bar. No sound. Cannot save the file and listen to it elsewhere. I called Verizon and they said its because whatever audio format that person is sending is not supported. Ok. So how come when my friend, who has the EXACT same blackberry as me, sends me an audio text, its the same thing. Cannot listen to it. She has to send it over messenger. This also happens with videos people with regular phones send. So, is there some way around this, or a program to download that supports other types of audio files? Thanks!!

if the audio is in the wrong format it will not work.
Maybe I am a little confused on what you are asking

I've ran across the same problem.
I'm not sure that this will work for you, but I had the file sent to my email (use gmail on BB) and then download file directly from my email. When I downloaded the file (or song in MP3 format) from my email account, it saved it directly with my other music files on my phone.

    Hope this is useful...
