Have you tried doing handheld wipe? Oh and one other thing do you have Content Protection turned on. This is under the General Settings of Security Options. If you do the password will be enabled.

Do you have content Protection enabled on the device? It is under the general settings of security options.

Sorry to keep bombarding w/ questions....what's your content strength setting set on? Have you recently verified your security software? Have you recently reset your settings in Firewall?

i have my BB set to auto on/off everyday so it should verify it every time right?

if not i just did it and it passed.

i usually SoftReset every other day anyway...

content strength is set to "Strong"...which seems to be the minimal setting available

    lol

the IT Policy error has been bugging me since i first tried Mobipocket Reader...and then VR+...

and now this dumb little red lock made it all worse

one thing to note...when the firewall is disabled the programs work...but ive heard of people using these applications without turning off the firewall

but now i cant even do that...

Dude (lucky13): this is the simplest thing. Back up all your **** to your PC(using the app manager), then wipe the damn thing out and restart it.

It should pretty well start clean without any password.

It's no different than your PC being infected with viruses: the best to do also you usually format your hard drive and **** goes back to normal. So we do the same here!

    just do it ! (Nike

One last attempt...call provider, get insurance on BB device, back-up device, get 2lb hammer and box of kleenex, take hammer & smash device repeatedly...(one xtra 4 me), now take box of kleenex, wipe tears from eyes, snot from nose...call provider and tell them "there's been an accident." Cry as best you can to rep, hope it is a female or BB nerd(like me.) who can sympathize w/ your loss. Order new phone...Wait for phone shipment in 24hrs. Restore device...live @ one w/the universe....Just a suggestion.
