I just leave mine on one profile, then use the shortcut of holding down * key to switch to vibrate only when I need privacy.

thats a good shortcut. still would like to have both. Surprising considering everyting else the phone does. had a rough time finding a music player. rogers puts thier own on thier phones and it won't read most files. x player works alright though. any other useful downloads???

I was looking for that to since I was so use to my Wing vib. and ringing at the same time. Now it doesn't matter because I'm so use to vib. then ring.

The nice thing about having your bb ring THEN vibrate is that you can tell what the incoming alert is..be it email, sms, or phone call.
It is a feature that took some time to get used but it is worth it.

I'm pretty sure if you select Profiles then scroll down to Advanced, select the Menu button > Edit > Phone you can change the Tune and Volume in addition to the Vibrate, but I haven't tried it in practice.

the reason most ppl complain about how it vibrates, then rings is that by the time it starts ringing, the caller soon goes to the voicemail.

What most people i know do is that they call their provider and ask them to allow more rings before being forwarded to voicemail... that way, it'll vibrate first, then ring for a longer time before hitting the voicemail.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~you can also adjust your profile settings so that phone calls vibrate three times, sms/email vibrates twice. This can help with the Vibe profile. It doesn't solve the "ring & vibe" entirely. But that's been an easy adjustment to make. (For me, YMMV)
