Is there a way to backup my sim contacts? Or do I need to manually write all of those down?

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~your sim contacts will always be on your simcard. You don't need to backup.you would maybe want to back up the additional info you put in the address book. That's done by using DM, the backup app.

Yeah, I'm just thinking in case I lost the phone or something. Then all my SIM contacts would be gone.

Good idea. I'll do that now.

Its a good idea to always have your numbers backed up, especially if you use a phone that reads the sim to access the phonebook. Sim cards can go back from time to time, and if it does its smart to have your info backed up.

Sorry...maybe I'm a little slow at this. I've done a backup before using desktop manager, but it was my impression that DM does not backup SIM contacts.

Can you give me breif instuctions how to go about that? Sorry to be a pain.

Here is what a Nextel customer can do, not sure if it is possible for you...

There is a program called Phonebook Manager, and when you put your sim into a compatible phone it will read the sim and store it onto your pc as a Microsoft Access file.

My advice for you is check with TMO and see what program you can use to store your info. You may have to put your sim in another phone to read it and load them to your pc. Even the local TMO store should have the ability to load your sim contacts to a file on the pc.

QSX, usually your SIM will be current with your address book. So when you backup on DM it backs up your address book which has all your contact info.
