    Call Screen, and Service Info

I was wondering if this happens to anyone else:

On the Pearl, whenever I make a call, the call screen (I'm referring to the one with the phone number, phone image, and volume level) moves to the top, and the Service Info (service provider, signal strength, time and date, and battery level) moves to the bottom of the screen. T-Mobile told me that the phone is programmed to do that, but not only does that seem peculiar, but it seems as if they were trying to find a solution to a question that caused a 45 minute long conversation.

actually, i think it's the whole screen that "shifts" down...

i have a skull as my wallpaper and the service info is over the top of the skull (semi-transparent). On the call screen, at the bottom i can see the call info, and behind it, the top of my skull.

    Thanatos504, Welcome to PinStack.

That is normal with all the BlackBerry Devices and Themes. Don't know why it does that but that area of the screen is called the Banner and while in a call it moves from the top to the bottom of the screen.

Don't know why it was done that way, but I'm sure that when they were working out the details of the BB Screen system, someone had a logical reason.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to help with your BB.

And Mrdeeno, there are two images, Probably cut from the same image, one is the Banner Image, that is the size of the areas where the indicators are, and the other is the Home Screen Image and covers the whole screen or it has a transparent background under where the Banner goes.

I'm guessing the Banner size is 240x76 and the home screen is 240x260

Understand. My closest guess was the ability to type notes.

Nah its the background image that's moved down with the banner.

the theme background is blue...my skull background is a white skill with red and black background...its not part of the theme so it wouldn't be part of the theme's banner.

Though the screen has always done this, you do raise a good question.

There are some things which appear as completely obvious and obviously wrong to us the users, but someone somewhere at RIM actually thought these things were good ideas! ???

I'm sure when they made the decision, there was a logical reason for this.

and i'd say 90% of users don't even notice or think twice that the call info just moved to the bottom.
