    Call Logs

Hi, I am new in this forum. I have the Pearl 8100, how can I delete all phone calls received and made in the call log with just one simple step, instead of going thru the menu delete, and then delete again?
    Thanks

Go to messages/menu/view folder/phone call logs and from the top of the list(or date you wish to delete from) hit menu/delete prior.

Still takes a few clicks but faster than deleting one by one

Well I did as instructed, but the in/out calls are still there in the Call Log after they are erased in the messages section.

    Any other alternative?

There are actually 2 folders....Missed Calls and Phone Call Logs.....if you go into both and go to Menu then Delete Prior then that should erase them all....forgot to mention the missed call folder last time....~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Please don't think I am stupid, but in the call logs what I get from the down list is: HELP, CALL FROM ADDRESS BOOK, CALL VOICE MAIL, CALL.(CALLER'S NAME),SMS TEXT (CALLER'S NAME),REMOVE SPEED DIAL, VIEW SPEED DIAL,VIEW CONTACT, DELETE,OPTIONS, STATUS, SWITCH APPLICATION, CLOSE.

I have the following operating system versions installed as it came from box:

    Blackberry 4.2 Core Applications
    Blackberry 4.2 System Software

Everything is installed for Model 8100. Why doesn't it show????????

Also, you need to do this while you have the date selected at the top of the page...not when you have a call highlighted....

Everything has been done as instructed. Steps are done, but they still show on the call log...
I think since this is strange I will delete them one by one every night.

This is like the LOST series.

I appreciate all your knowledge. Thanks

    Weird!!!!

Well here's one other way to try.....not as easy as Delete Prior but easier than 1 by 1.

Go to messages/menu/view folder/phone call logs

Once inside the folder, hold the Shift key and roll the trackball down so everything gets highlighted then hit menu and delete.....

If the shift button won't work try the Alt button, I can't remember which one and my son isn't home so I can't check on his pearl.....

Let me know if this works for you.....~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

I did it as you have said. It's with the alt key, all were highlighted and deleted. Went to call log, and still there. I will attach a screenshot in a little while for you to see.

An alternative that also works is deleting the Phone Call Logs database.

To do this connect your BB to your PC>Open Desktop Manager>Backup/Restore>Advanced>Find Phone Call Logs in right column>Highlight it>Click clear.

Must be a wierd glitch in your software....hopefully lucky's method works for you......if not, you may need to do a wipe and reload of the software/OS.......
