    Browser will stop suddenly...

Ok...so this has been a problem of mine for about the last couple of weeks. I will be using my browser and then suddenly...it just stops loading information. The "Requesting" bar will just keep going and going, but nothing ever loads afterwards. The arrows that display a connection at the top right-hand corner of the screen don't do anything either. I can open Opera mini and use it perfectly however. My signal is fine, so I know it isn't that. I did recently upgrade to .107 but this has been doing it before then. What could it be?! The only way to fix it is to do a battery pull, but believe me...it is a very temporary fix! What can I do?

You have Tmobile? Instead of pulling battery turn off wireless option and then back on. That is temp also but is faster than pulling battery. Are you sure you have EDGE displayed?

mine does this sometimes too, at worst it will do it for several hours ...

however pulling the battery is a fairly longterm fix.... just simply going back and reloading the page or reentering the address or reclicking the link seems to work too.

    Re: Browser will stop suddenly...

I've tried reloading the page, closing the browser and starting over, refreshing, and just plain clicking the link again...nothing has worked besides a battery pull, but I will try turning off the wireless...I'll let you guys know how it turns out.

    Thanks!

    Man, this sounds really silly.

Have you tried emtying your cache? All of your offline content that your blackberry saves behind the scenes. I had a problem like this a few weeks ago and did this (had 3meg of cached stuff), haven't had a problem since.

This is a problem i've seen on tmo for months now and it seems to happen every time I go to a site or download a file that can 'overflow' the cache they are just a little too large for a mobile device it seems. However I think its an OS issue as I haven't remembered seeing it in each of the OS's, its also very sporadic and so I keep forgetting too test for it.

I have opera mini and its usefulness to me is incredibly limited on a blackberry. It would be much better if they made a version specifically for BB's and that used the same protocols and RIM's browser.

Porting from a mobile phone edition has always been ridiculous.

Anyway, I've been trying to repeat this to no avail. Its not quite consistent.
