    Browser Problems

    Today (10/20/08) my browser stopped working. All other data connections appear to be fine (BIS email, Viigo, Google Maps, etc.). When I click on the browser it hangs up and does nothing. This happened this morning in Philly and during the day in Syracuse NY, so it's not a local issue. It happended both on UMA and EDGE.

    I'm on TMO with 4.5.0.52 installed. I've tried several battery pulls and resent the service books. Nothing seems to work.

    Any one having this trouble today?

    Could be the browser service book is corrupted or stuck for lack of a better word.

    Have you went to Options >> Advanced Options >> Host Routing Table and hit the menu button then select 'Register Now'?

    If not, try that 1st..

    If its still acting up try using Desktop Manager and uncheck the browser, once the device reboots, connect to DM again and add the browser back..

    I'll give that a try.

    I have multiple entries on the HRT, is that common? Only one is bold. Is that the one I should re-register?

    Restore the default settings for your BlackBerry.
    go to your browser > menu > browser configuration > menu > restore defaults

    I bit the bullet and upgraded to 4.5.0.81.

    All seems right with the browser now.
