    Browser problems

In my attempts to set up my new 8120 and getting blackberry or google maps downloaded im getting the following message

unable to open PDP context to the following APN: Orangewap
This may be happening because the currently selected browser configuration is not compatiable with the current network

Can anyone help - Ive exhausted my extremely limited technical knowledge.

My wifi connection working , its just the browser - how do I sort this ?

    Thanks in anticipation !!

Go to Options > Advanced > TCP and see what the settings are.

    What is your carrier?

The settings under TCP are as follows

    APN:
    Username for APN:
    Password for APN:

Basically the fields arent populated so am I right in thinking thats my problem?
However we've reached the limit of my understanding now so if you can enlighten me about what APN is and what needs doing I'd be grateful.

My carrier is Orange in the UK

    Thanks
    Mark

Try putting "orange" or "orangeinternet" in the APN field. See if that fixes anything.
You could also try with only wifi or only wireless turned on to try and isolate the problem to one or the other.

Hi - well the orange internet or the orange didnt help - so I decided to reboot the phone - and it would appear to be working ok - apart from the browser defaults to orangeworld - Ive downloaded google maps but when i click on the google maps icon it freezes on 10% could this be an orange network block on the software ?

some programs need the apn/tpc settings to be correct in order to run. I am not sure if Google Maps is one of them. I know the Tmo set up by heart. Dunno orange.
