Probably not for me. But since I have TMO and they are usually the first to get new models, I probably wouldn't have to. However, if I had Verizon.....I might.

I have Nextel and will not break my contract no matter what. Two reasons, first because I work for them, second because I have had the best service out of all the companies with Nextel, so Im not going anywhere.

I have Cingular, and the service in my area has been great, the best I have had. Also, Cingular is fairly quick to get the latest tech, so I dont think that would be an issue either.

There is no number portability in Canada...yet. (Aside from landline to landline.)

17 March 2006 is the day when any phone number can be ported to any carrier on any network in Canada.

Landline --> VoIP --> Mobile --> Cable --> whoever you want.

This is when we will finally see some real competition.

Nah, I have no desire to purchase the 8100 I like the full qwerty keyboard and layout of the 8700. The signal is usually 4-5 bars and rarely does it go below 3. I am happy with my current service and phone.

I'm seriously thinking about it. I've been waiting for a phone with 8700 series capabilities and 7100 series form factor ever since I knew enough about BB's to understand the difference. The only reason I can't give an unequivocal yes is that I have come to rely heavily on Telenav. So if I changed carriers, I'd have to replace it somehow, which would also add to the cost of changing. Even so, I want the 8100 so badly I'm still considering it.

I wouldn't have to break my contract because I'm already with T-Mobile. If I was still with Cingular, however, I'd fork over the termination fee in a heartbeat.
