    Boohoo...I broke my Pearl....

I had my phone plugged into my car charger today, and I was in a rush when I left the car forgetting that I had it plugged in. I put in on my hip and got out of the car closing the door on the charger cord. Of course I got pulled back as my phone was still plugged into the damn thing, and it actually bent and damaged the charging input beyond my ability to repair it.

So that's my stupid story for the day. Now what? Do I need to go buy a new BB or is this something that BB will repair for me??

The USB thing I think is actually part of the mobo from what I can see through the little hole. I was thinking of finding a driver tomorrow to open it up and have a closer look.

well ... i tried to fix the trackwheel on my 7100g a couple of years ago and it didn't go so well. but it was a part that was broken.

bbrepairshop will fix it for you, or like you said, take the thing apart and see if you can fix yourself...

if you have had it for less than a year, you might get a replacement from RIM ... but not sure.

Desktop charger won't help me to sync all my appts. Maybe I can take it to an electronics store.

Got my phone fixed. Whew! Only cost me $40 for a new port, and took the guy 30 minutes. Saved by the tech!

But I think the guy messed up my camera cuz now it's all blurry. Thought that it was from upgrading to .46, but downgrading to .18 and then again to 4.2, it was still blurry when it shouldn't have been.

Hope the guy will own up to his error and fix it....if it can be.
