    Re: bluetooth passkey

In the pairing process of your devices often a random number is chosen so that both devices can pair or read each other, so it does not matter what number you put unless one of the devices generates a special number. My apple ibook always generates it own number to pair with a bluetooth device.
But other dvices that I have dont and I just put a random number in.
    I hope this helps.

Never had any problems with 0000. Actually that's what usually in the manual for your device or headset. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Re: bluetooth passkey

The 0000 is correct for most headsets but when pairing a phone to phone or other device with a keyboard there usually is no default number set. Since both devices have keyboards, the number can be generated by the users. I use 0 on my computer just for convenience.

The passkey does not matter. I always use 1234 to pair everyone I know to my phone.

    Re: bluetooth passkey

so as long as both devices input the same passkey they should pair up? doesn't matter 0000, 1111 or any combination?
