Blackberry Operating system upgrade (and downgrade) on BES

So my berry is tied to a BES, but per IT policies, they allow all programs to be updated/installed, etc...basically no real restrictions.

However, if I upgrade/downgrade my OS, will I need to reactivate on the BES, or will those settings carry over? Thanks.

I'm not positive, not on BES, but I'm pretty sure that installing the Handheld core apps S/W will require an Enterprise Activation. Either by connecting to a PC that is connected to the BES or wirelessly from the EA icon on the BB.

    Hope this helps.

Re: Blackberry Operating system upgrade (and downgrade) on BES

BES has to reinitialize after an upgrade or downgrade. I usually connect to the email system (VPN into my corporate network) before I do the install. It always fails when trying to do the enterprise activation over the air but always works when plugged in to the PC. It should automatically kick in after all the downgrade reboots, just watch for it to complete in settings/advanced/enterprise activation before you unplug.
