Hello, well im glad to say that i just bought my first blackberry, i got ... BlackBerry Pearl forum
Blackberry newbie looking for some guidance
Hello, well im glad to say that i just bought my first blackberry, i got an 8100, and i have just a few questions that maybe you guys can help me with. just so you know i bought a blackberry merely for a personal phone, i dont use it for business so i do not have the data plan with t-mobile, so i cant view emails or acess internet, but anyways.
#1 if someone one could tell me how to send picture messages that would be great
#2 if someone could tell me how to access t-zones.
First of All welcome Rainymort you have to send the service books that allow you to browse all of this is in the manual also searching helps
You need the data plan in order to use T-Zones and to send MMS.
The BlackBerry handles all data by sending it through RIM's servers.

It is as they say, and unfortunately, without the BlackBerry Data Plan there will be no T zones and no MMS messaging ("picture" messages).
Can't you just pay for the text messaging/picture messaging by itself? I know that they have an addon plan for SMS and MMS for T-mobile, so I do not think that you need the data plan to send picture messages.
You should give T-mobile a call and ask them these questions.
HI Rainymort, welcome to pinstack.
I work at t-mobile i'm telling you it is well worth it to get the bb data plan, by the time you add all the other features you have spent just as much money, and don't see the benefits twenty buck a month.
Rainymort and mhardin98, Welcome to PinStack.
Rainymort, You definitely need the BB Data plan to browse t-zones. I believe that is TMOs WAP Gateway to the internet.
mhardin98, thanks for the advice, I agree with you.
Let us know if there is anything we can do to help with your BBs.
Ok. wow thank you all for your help...i think im really gonna like this site..lol. One more question. Can any of you BB wizards give me a step by step guide to put music on my pearl?
I don't use the Pearl, but as I understand it you can use the Media Manager feature of Desktop Manager 4.2 to put MP3s on your pearl.
Hope this helps
