    Blackberry Messenger

Hello I have a blackberry pearl with Tmobile. I have been adding contacts to my BB messenger but they are always pending and I never receive an acceptance or else. I have no problems with other messengers in my device and I also have EDGE in capital letters. Is there any way to fix this problem?
    Thanks

Have you checked to see if any of the people you are adding have added you back? It will stay pending until they add you as well.

You can try resending yourself your service books and then re-registering on the network. Then do a battery pull and let the phone boot backup.

    1. Go to www.t-mobile.com and log in to My T-Mobile.
    2. Click SET UP BLACKBERRY INTERNET E-MAIL under Messaging.
    3. Click "Handheld" under "Settings".
    4. Click "Send Service Books"

Also make sure you are adding by PIN and not email. When I first gave BB Messenger a shot, I was adding PIN numbers as email addresses and obviously, they were never receiving the invitation.

Yeah, It never seams to work when using the "add by email address" option. Use the pin option.
(When in BB messenger) Menu-->add a contact ---> scroll up to use once (dont click it but highlight it)---> select PIN

Im having the same issue with by ATT 8100 pearl. Have been on the phone for hours with RIM abd have done all of the above but nothing seems to work. Not able to send PIN messages either but if I send one to myself I receive it.

Any suggestions? Is it my device itself?

make sure you have a bb data plan...lol...i thought i was going crazy but realized that my old 8100 had no data plan, but my new 8120 does, so i bbm on that now...have you blackberry friend ping you from theirs...that would probably help determine if it was a device or network issue...

Its been my experience the BB messenger can be a littel picky....I always had to make sure that I had the PIN number of the Person I was Inviting in my address book and invite by PIN.

What I experience is everytime I invite someone, it shows that I invited myself.

When I use their email addresses it doesn't work. When I use their Blackberry email addresses I enjoy more success (even if it still shows that I invited myself).

I understand, it can be very aggravating!!! I guess once you find a system that works, thats the one you stick with for sure!!
