I have a 2GB memory card in my pearl, but when trying to download new apps, it tells me insufficient space. Can anyone tell me why this is?

memory card has nothing to do with third party apps I am not an expert but I would think you have too much stored on youir device memory. I heard if you have alot of programs running in the back ground, that it could cause problems of this nature.

the media card is just FOR media-pics, tunes ,videos. You might, as johu said have too many apps running taking up your device memory.

I heard media cards also increase space for the call log. My call log keeps deleting and never saves. Any suggestions on that?

Also is there any way to increase the memory space without deleting applications?

http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com..._pearl-12.html check out this thread post #1. The sd memory card cannot be used to save apps. You can try an app called ABC Amber Blackberry, it is used to save a variety of text. Hope this helps

The call logs and such being deleted along with the error "insufficient space" when trying to download an app is definitly a sign of low device memory. The device will "free up" memory on it's own when memory is low by doing just that.

I know some of my apps save info onto the card but you can't run the apps directly from it. For example jivetalk saves my contacts on the card but the app runs from the phone
