    Blackberry Maps

    Hi!
I'm a newbe when it comes to using my blackberry. My fiance bought me this phone, but I do not use it for the data plan, I just use it as a regular phone. I also have a chunkier ppc phone, but the pearl is so much thinner and nicer! =)

anyways, my question is, I bought a GPS receiver, is there a map program I can use (I used iGO on my ppc) on my blackberry? I see a "blackberry maps", but doesn't that use data? And if i don't have data, is there a program I can use so I can use my GPS receiver? (preferably OTA.)

And do I have to install a map of Canada in order to use it?!

    Thanks for all your help!
    =)

    Peter

Sorry you will need to purchase a BB data plan.

BB maps works with it streaming the maps down to you. Unfortunately you cannot store any maps on your pearl.

Also if you don't have a data plan, you wont be able to get anything OTA. That also requires a data plan.

    Hope that helps

wouldn't that be nice for a blackberry device to have the memory capacity to hold the map of the world and never have to use a data plan
