    Question

Yeah I know , flip phones are big problems and if something happens again I might just kick it altogether.
My wife likes them ...go figure.

Yea... All flip phones have a flex cable, it moves everytime the phone is open or closed.... Its just a part of having a flip.... But they SHOULD warranty it, its not like someone jammed a crayon in the charge port.... stay on em till you get your replacement.... prob gonna be a refurb....

They ( Bell ) said it's going in for repair , they don't replace after 40 days.

Maybe it's better to fix than get another faulty one?!

Only if blackberry is fixing it.... they will use OEM parts and put it back under warranty.... Otherwise, you need to fight for a replacement....

Thx for the advice... here is the update.

I was told by the Bell store manager since she had similar issue , that the phone needs to be updated with latest SW for the 8230.
My question is are they just brushing me off and how can a SW update resolve a seemingly HW issue...hmmm.

    I will update
    any ideas?

This is a hardware issue and now it's gone for repair.

Charged me 35$ for estimation ( to be refunded under warranty )
15$ for activating an old phone in the mean time.

Now I have to wait 4 weeks. It better be fixed else...
