Smile BlackBerry Can't Understand '+' Prefix

I don't know about the rest of the world, but here in the UK when someone gives you there mobile number they say 0770.......etc. When you receive an SMS however, the messages come through as +44770.....

Every phone I've ever had has realised that these are one and the same but my new 8100 thinks they're two different numbers. For people's names to come up on messages I have to store them in the address book with the +44.

Hopefully someone is going to tell me a firmware update will fix this.

Make sure your Blackberry is customized to UK. What default lang is installed? See options / advanced / applications.

This is weird as far as I know my BlackBerry use + fine I'm also INTL.

    enter options
then Smart Dialing and check your settings there.
