blackberry attachment service
I have a pearl 8100, os 184.108.40.206. I am having a great deal of trouble with opening attachments.
After a lot of reading, Im still stuck. Should I have blackberry attachment service listed under advanced options/applications? I do not. How can I get it without totally reloading the os?
I have already gone to tmobile and resent the service books.
Connect BB to PC and start DM - App Loader and scroll down and check BB Attachment Service, then
Next. Let device reboot and you should be good to go.
This will work as long as you have the OS downloaded to your PC.
Found it, thank you. its loading now.
for some reason, I have to start the app loader c:/program files/common files/research in motion apploader. But once I start it there, I can add just the attachment service.
Now I get "this beta version has expired" when I go to open a jpg!!!!!
I guess I got a bad version of 220.127.116.11?
I'm having the same problem, but i have a bold, and my OS is 18.104.22.168, i don't have BB Attachment Service.. any suggestions??
I would check the Latest Official OS Sticky for your Device and download that and upgrade your device,

Latest OS for 8100 here:
That the OS that came with your Bold? Do you have it downloaded to your PC? If not, go to the Bold Forum and at the top is a sticky with the latest Bold Official OS. You can Download your OS there and go through the same steps I advised tkaufm previously to get attachment service back.

But if you have it downloaded to your PC - follow the same steps as above.

If its not from tmobile, does it matter where its from? Are some sites better than others?
You can use the ATT one I posted above.
Doesn't matter what carrier as long as it's device specific.
Think of it this way ~ you'll be getting the latest 4.5 OS and fixing your Attachment Service issue
lavagirl you rock thanks alot

downloading it now.
