    Question BlackBerry as Removable Disk

When my BlackBerry Pearl is connected to my pc, it shows up as a removable disk. So how do I access this removable disk? How do I save files to it? How can I browse those saved files on my phone? How can I use my Pearl as a flashdrive?
    Thanks
    Ron

ron, do you have a media card installed/inserted?
if so, go to options/media card and make sure mass storage mode is turned to ON

then you can use the bb as a flash drive use windows explorer to drag/drop files onto the card

to access your files/pics/ringtones, use the media icon on the homescreen.

Yeah I actually go more into it and have portable versions of Firefox, OpenOffice, and others, installed on my MicroSD. Now when I plug in my BlackBerry into any other computers, I have my Firefox browser settings and bookmarks with me, which I have sync'd to my home computer. Sweet eh? ;-)

To get these you can download them from your PC at www.portableapps.com

Yeah and a lot of fun too. :-). Once mass storage is enabled, you just treat it as any other USB Key. Works the exact same way and doesn't screw up your BB. Definitely a plus. Hehe.

I just search and find my files on my PC and load them that way (music MP3's) or save them straight to the media card from the BB itself (pics). Then play the music on 2 of 3 MP3 players on my BB (XPlayer, or MiuTunes, my favorite). I mostly send pics via email or BB Messenger.
