    Blackberry as a modem (ISP)

How do we use this phone to connect to an ISP (not our cellular carrier). I want to dial a REAL number for an outside ISP and connect like a regular modem would. Most new phones support this now, so I find it hard to believe that the blackberry cannot do it.

From what I understand this works with most carriers, I use my 8100 with my laptop all the time

I am talking about dialing up to a regular ISP, like earthlink or somebody. I don't want to use the AT&T dialup (*99#), for example.

I have never seen any indication, one way or another. You might try just putting all settings in place for a standard ISP ...and see what happens. If it works, you have your answer.
