Have you attempted a Java Wipe? If not time to try that. Take a look at this easy primer from Lavagirl:

Sorry to say that at this point I have no other suggestions. If you cannot perform a Java wipe and neither of the two connections alternatives allow you to connect to desktop manager...do you have any idea what caused this issue to begin with? Also is this an OEM battery?

    Sorry, OEM=Original Equipment Manufacturer.

    1. Try with a different USB cable. Also make sure you are directly connected to the desktop not a hub. Try multilple USB ports
    2. Try with another battery known to be working and charged.

Dead Pearl after trying to upgrade - any ideas?

    Hi,

I've also got the same issue. I was trying to update the software and halfway through the process it spat a dummy and the upgrade failed. I'm now left with a device that flashes red followed by three quick flashes every three seconds.

I've tried to connect however Desktop Manager does not recognise the device (the drop down is empty stopping me from progressing) and the javaswipe (?) doesn't seem to do anything - I'm not sure that it is actually connecting to the device.

I think that I've tried all the hints and tips on this site with no success - does anybody have any ideas or do i know have a nice paperweight?

Does anybody know what the 1 long flash followed by three short flashes means?

    Here's hoping

    Al
