    Thanks xxxsublimexx for recommending us.

    @sky1023:
You can use multiPlay voice recording for free, but comes with some limitations links:

    http://www.dollars5.com/OTA/multiPlay.jad

Our vNotes can allow you to reord in multiple formats, tag your recordings, sort them, full background recording etc for a very low price at http://www.dollars5.com/plete/blackb...ry-pearl-8100/

    Re: bbpearl audio recording option!

    Greetings,

I've been using vNotes and find it very useful, but there are some quirks that I think could be easily implemented.

There are users, like me, who like a voice recorder they can use without having to look at any GUI. To that end, vNotes is *almost* there, but not quite.

On the BlackBerry Pearl, you can reassign buttons to open applications.
So, I've assigned the left button, to open vNotes.
In the vNotes config, I have it set to start recording on open.
    This all works fine.
However, to stop recording, you have to use the trackball, or press the "TY" key.
After that, you are prompted to confirm a save name for the file. This is cumbersome for people who like a quick "press and record" type of operation.

It would be nice to have an "Automatically save recording on stop, or on application exit."
That is, if you press the "TY", or the stop in the GUI, it would automatically save the latest recording.
Likewise, if you are recording, and you close the application, it will automatically save the current recording.

Also, it would be very handy, if while recording the "QW" button could close the whole application.

So, here's a scenario after implementing the above.

I'm driving along, and I want to make a todo list for things I need to do when I get home. So, I grab my pearl, never looking at it and press the left function key. vNotes starts up and starts recording. I say what I need to say, then, still never looking at the Blackberry, I press the "QW" key. This should stop and save the recording and shut the application down.

I can do that multiple times without every looking at the device, thus making this app usable as a "press and record" device.

    Your thoughts?

    Sincerely,
    Matthew Wheaton
