    i agree...you can load full length movies on to a pearl after conversion to watch

    and hey, all of your percentages add up to more than 100%

    Well, I have an HP 6515W, which serves all my phone, music, gps, camera, movie watching, data management needs. runs wm2003 and is very stable, uses mini SD and standard SD, and SD wifi. So having said all that, it is great. I just wanted a new toy and my sister accommodated me with the gift of the pearl... like it a lot, but, doesn't (or haven't figured out yet how) to replace my PDA/phone dependancy. not quite ready to give up the paq yet.. just my canadian 1.83 cents

    My new years resolution was to stay away from all things breakable and unstable, i.e. anything that has a Window(s).

    Re: BB vs Pocket pc

    I think I am eminently qualified to answer this post, having been a PPC user (last one was an iPaq 6965) for many years. While there can be many more reasons, the most compelling ones according to me are:
    1- Battery life in a PPC is way to short;
    2- The PPC phone is inferior;
    3- With supplied/bought software, the BB can rival whatever the PPC can do, including with Word/Excel files; and
    4- Full length movies play as smoothly as in a PPC.
    5- I had to reset my PPC, no matter what, at least once a day!
    Hope this helps...

    I don't know what I said, but I know what I think,
    and, well, I assume it's what I said.

    Re: BB vs Pocket pc

    I started with a Palm III. later I switced to a PPC, and used it happily for 3 or 4 years. The frequent need to re-set, and the way ActiveSync would make several assumptions about what I wanted it to do made me change to a blackberry.

    I like the way the blackberry functions, I rarely have to re-set it, and it just fits my lifestyle (work and home) better than a PPC ever did.

    (the BB community is a nice added bonus, too. Ask anything here, and you'll get a super quick answer)
