    but did what the thred said, and now it is not IT locked anymore.

    Sorry, guys. It was not successful.

    I wiped the BB with the JL_Cmder, reinstalled the firmware with BB Desktop Manager, close the Desktop Manager, changed the registry as described, started the Desktop Manager --> no changes - the popup already on the screeen, no action can be taken.

    Do you have any other ideas?

    yes. how do I see, that the policy took effect?

    I always see the message I posted at the beginning (Please install a valid smart authenticator...)

    Hey guys,(and gals)
    I just got a BB Pearl not too long ago and it started to be REALLY slow. NOt just on the browser, but everything including phone calls. Is there anyway to speed this thing up at all!!!!

    Install a valid smart card authenticator ???

    While activating the BB on the BES I got the message above and can do nothing, because this message can be closed.

    I tried to reinstall the firmware, nothing changed...

    I also tried to wipe the phone, nothing changed...

    Any ideas?

    Tricky I don't know to much about BES I will try my best to help. What SIM card do you have in your pearl?

    Tom, did you try to get the BB Admin to send a blank IT policy. I think the one you have on your BB might be requiring the Smart Authenication. If they can replace it you might solve this problem. I'm sure you are going to have to work with them though.
