Hi I was wondering if there's any way to charge faster or not eat up my battery life so fast? It irks me A LOT! I hate seeing it at 65% or lower. Hmm. Thanks!

    Re: battery life

The way to charge faster as far as i know is turn ur phone on standby mode when you are charging it. To send ur blackberry to standby mode, press the top button (mute) for a few seconds. What i've noticed is a way to save battery is to keep ur mobile on standby mode, instead of locking my keyboard i put the pearl on standby mode. I find it easier and more convenient then keyboard locking. The one difference i've noticed between locking keypad and putting ur phone on standby is that when it is on standby and u press any key the ligth wont come on, thus resulting in better battery life.

    Thank You,

i hate it too when my batt goes below 50%. i have a seidio ext batt charger and a slim extended battery. one of my batteries is always charging in it. every time my batt in fone goes below 50% i swap it with the batt in the ext charger. This way the batt is always topped up the batt pull reset happens too

Just out of curiosity, what kind of case (if any) do you have. I know that when I first got the phone I needed to charge it daily. Now that I have a Seidio holster with sleeper function I charge it every two to three days.

Yup works just like it's on. It's just asleep. You still get everything.

    Re: battery life

If you're not using a case with the sleep function, you might give that a try. That being said, going below 50% shouldn't really concern you, you still have quite a bit of battery life.

I use my Pearl a LOT, and I get home with it generally between 65% and 50% charge remaining.

I prevoiusly had a Nokia, with two screens (outer and inside screen) and it barely made it through the day... I"d get home with 10% left!

I also always charge my bb every night, so between the sleep function and nightly charging, battery life isn't really an issue for my particular usage.
