Welcome to the Stacks Blakeyates. It could be a defective charger. Are you using the USB or wall charger? Have you tried using a different outlet/pc?

    Re: Battery Charging

Before you take it back, take out the battery with the BB on, then hold down the power button for at least 30 seconds before replacing the battery. Let us know what happens.

    Re: Battery Charging

Unless someone else has a solution, I would bring it back if it's only 3 days old.

    Re: Battery Charging

make sure if you're using usb it's a 2.0, (don't ask me which is which or how to tell them apart, i just know unless it's 2.0 it won't charge, and it will give you a message saying the charging voltage is too low.). the yellowish/green flashing led (where the red message indicator usually is) means it's charging. even though it's a lithium-ion battery that dosen't hold memory, it is suggested that you give it an 18-24 base charge when you first get it. there are some good links in this forum that will tell you everything you wanted to know about batteries/charging etc. i wouldn't give in on it just yet, unless you think your cell provider will give you a deal on a new phone, but since it's a refurb unit, i'd be willing to bet you bought it like you saw it. but it's worth a shot either way. hope this helps.
