    Batt life after new Jvetalk!

Anybody noticed improved batterylife with the new version of Jivetalk .0.90? i might be imagining but after i downloaded the new ver yesterday, my batt now is showing 85% !! it normally drops down to 50% by now. could it be because Jivetalk no longer uses TCP but BIS?

Not sure, will have to test it out. Been using TCP the whole time.

    Whats the difference?

Oops I meant the difference between TCP and BIS...would it make that much of a difference?

I really dont know. but , i hv noticed that yahoo messenger uses BIS and i can stay online on it all day with marginal difference to my batt. life. Jive talk would drain my batt considerably when it was on TCP. So i guess there is a difference.

    thr will be difference,
so if Jvetalk is running in background + sending packets of data(for updating ) then it must frequently use battery.
    so batt backup is reduced.
