    Question Bad quality images...

    Advertisement

    Hello...
    I have transfered some pictures from my digital camera to my pearl...the pictures seem "grainy"...like they are really low quality...when I zoom in, sometimes they "fix" themselves and become clear...but most of the time the pictures stay grainy...the image in 823k in size, so I know the picture itself is of really good quality...anyone know how to refresh the image so that it becomes clear?...if anyone has experienced this, then please share...thank you in advance...

    i'm going to guess here, i'm a photographer and graphic designer but i don't own a pearl and i haven't seen this on my 8700c yet.
    sometimes browsers on you PC will show a high quality image as very grainy
    this is becuase the image acutally isn't being displayed at full size but, the browser is using some kind of compression to make the image fit in the screen with out scroll bars
    my guess is that the pearl is doing the same thing....
    I would resize the photo to the approx width of the pearl screen and then try to view it on the pearl
    typically 1 inch = 100 pixels. Thats a rough estimate if the image is at 72dpi. i'd make the image about 200px wide and constrain the proportins on the height
    that should help
    let me know!

    If you are going to resize the image for the Pearl the actual size should be 240 x 260

    Hope this helps

    Resizing the pic to 240x260 should fix the problem for sure.

    I snapped this on my BB the other day. A picture is only as good as the photographer. I'm no Ansel Adams, but I think it came out well.

    For resizing... http://www.blackberrycool.com/blackb...aper-generator

    There are several similar websites out there. I haven't tried more than two, so I can't truly say if one works better than the other

    If you have a photobucket account, there is an option there to make mobile wallpaper and it will even mms it to you for a fee.
