First off I would just try doing a cold re-boot and if that doesn't work I would try format your microSD card and then re-save your music and see if that helps. If these don't do it then post back and we can help you some more.

    Hope this helps,

You could always try and take the card out, clean the contacts, re-seat the card and reformat it before resorting to a new card.

    Hope this helps.

Re: bad files? or bad SD card?

i corrected the mistake i made before. i plugged my SD card into an SD drive into my computer and just reformatted from "MY COMPUTER". the file system had to be formatted into FAT(16) not FAT32 (the default).

BUT ANYWAY... another problem occurred. in the process of restoring my SD card, i got halfway and then it kept giving me error messages during file transfer. something about "could not transfer file... general error [E:6]" and then the card disappeared from the DM menu. (not before giving me another error). funny thing is after all that, the file would still transfer. what the fudge is going on??

    thanx in advance

U said the card disappeared from DM SOftware? Maybe try enabling/disabling mass store: Options/Advanced Options/Media Card

Also play around in that menu area.
